# How Bing reads structured data

Supported formats and the role of Bing’s own inspection tools.

## Several formats are supported

Bing documents Schema.org JSON-LD and HTML Microdata, alongside RDFa, Microformats and Open Graph. Its overview says the crawler does not prefer one listed specification over another. Choose the format your publishing system can maintain accurately.

## Inspect the deployed URL

Bing Webmaster Tools includes URL Inspection and a markup view. Use those tools to check what Bing can discover on a verified site. A CheckMySchema report cannot substitute for Bing’s crawl and indexing information.

## Keep coverage explicit

The MVP applies Schema.org vocabulary checks to Bing-relevant markup. It does not issue a Bing eligibility score or claim to implement a complete Bing feature ruleset. Our Bing articles are reference guidance, distinct from automated Google checks.
