## Use the type that describes the application

SoftwareApplication describes software; WebApplication and MobileApplication provide more specific types. Include an accurate name, URL and description. Operating system and application category can help explain what the software does and where it runs.

## Eligibility needs genuine evidence

Google’s software rich-result requirements include an app name, an offer price and either an aggregate rating or review. Use a zero price only for an app available without payment. Never manufacture reviews or ratings to satisfy a validator. Accurate software markup can remain useful even when a rich-result requirement is unmet.

## Interpret the report correctly

CheckMySchema tests price format and nested review or rating details. Missing Google-required data describes an unmet feature requirement; it does not mean the software itself is invalid. Review authenticity, visible-page consistency and Google’s decision to show a result still require verification.
