Check the details of a local business
Validate business names, physical addresses and opening hours without inventing missing facts.
Start with the actual business location
Use the most specific LocalBusiness subtype that describes the location, such as Dentist or Restaurant. Google’s core local-business rules require a name and a physical address. A service area alone is not a reason to invent a street address. Our checker resolves linked PostalAddress nodes before testing the supplied address.
Keep opening hours precise
OpeningHoursSpecification connects weekdays to opening and closing times. Use 24-hour times and preserve overnight schedules; closing earlier on the clock can mean the following day. Our checks flag invalid times and unsupported weekdays. They cannot confirm that the business is actually open at those times.
Separate markup checks from eligibility
Our core checks do not verify ownership, real-world coordinates, booking actions or restaurant carousel eligibility. Review information must be genuine. Businesses should not add self-serving ratings merely to obtain stars. The linked Google documentation defines the feature-specific policies.
